Custom domains bring customization to your communication. Bring a fun domain or one for your business and establish emails you can use for various use-cases.
We use Amazon SES for our email backing which is why our verification records use Amazon domains
- You have 72 hours from domain registration to complete adding the provided records to your domain
- If you do not add them in this timeframe we will cancel you registration and you must re-start
- Custom domain email addresses can be as short as one letter
- We check you domain records throughout the day to ensure they are set up correctly.
- In the event we find an issue we will pause the use of the domains email addresses until it is resolved
- If you root domain is being used for your company or personal email (through gsuite, hey or some other email provider) you can create a sub-domain (e.g m.emailrule.com) to use for EmailRule
- You can also use EmailRule as your default email provider 😁
Type | Description |
|---|---|
CNAME | These record validates you own the provided domain and allows us to send emails on your behalf |
MX | This record forwards email sent to your domain to our infrastructure to be processed and handled. |
